Bulawayo: Meet representatives from the City Council and ZESA

The meetings are meant to provide platforms for residents engage in dialogue with representatives  from Bulawayo City Council (BCC), Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) on pertinent issues of the service delivery related to the operations of the institutions.

BCC is expected to address residents on issues including the water crisis in Bulawayo, disconnection of water for residents with arrears, refuse collection, the state of roads in the city and health.

Meanwhile, ZESA is expected to explain its metering exercise to residents, respond to concerns by residents that its billing is flawed and explain measures being taken by the parastatal to reduce load shedding.

The meetings are broadly aimed at inculcating a culture of accountability and transparency in the operations of service providers.
