ZDDT recently organised citizens’ dialogue meetings aimed at promoting and deepening democratic values among the residents of Bulawayo.
While for some people the principle of volunteering had to be first taught and encouraged, this was not the case with a Bulawayo woman, Mariyeti Mpala.
Over 200 residents, drawn from across Bulawayo’s 29 wards, recently thronged the Small City Hall for a chamber feedback meeting organised by the Zimbabwe Development Democracy Trust (ZDDT).
At the invitation of Annah Dube of Woodville in Bulawayo’s Ward 3, two ZDDT field officers, Vusumuzi Chirwa and Ennie Mhangara, visited the area recently to gain an appreciation of what is taking place in as far as service delivery and development is concerned.
Last Thursday, Bulawayo residents marched along the streets of the city calling for peace before, during and after the imminent July 30 watershed polls.
