In an emotional way of describing their past, present and future, Good Hope orphans have once again expressed their life artistically, with the help of Bongani ‘Bongo’ Mabhena and Nanzile ‘Sdunkero’ Nyathi, of Young at Heart.

Bongo and Nanzile are accomplished artists and Child Counsellors, who have been working with Good Hope orphans since 2015, equipping them with knowledge on arts and drama, events that led to the revelation of chilling experiences which some of the orphans went through, at the hands of their ruthless relatives.
“Today we would like to unveil our walk of life, from the jungle of hell to the paradise of knowledge and power, which was delivered to us by ZDDT and their partners Geraldine Roche and Young at Heart. We are very grateful to announce and express our happiness and appreciation of your love and rehabilitation exercise, that has seen us walking another journey of life,” said Nobuhle Ngwenya, one the orphans jostling to put their contribution to the historic banner.
Hundreds of orphans were given the chance to express their minds via the Good Hope banner created by Young at Heart.

“This is our second version of Counselling that will give hope to the traumatised children (and to enable them), to express their inside downheartedness,” said Bongo while busy working with children, who seemed to be in cloud nine with joy.
“Walk of my life is a story that every Good hope child is expressing through a picture that he or she is putting on this banner,” concluded Bongo.
This is the second phase of ZDDT-Geraldine Roche programme which incorporates Art, facilitated by Young at Heart Foundation, an organisation run by a young couple, both of whom are HIV positive.
