Bulawayo "Old Timers" Set Good Example for Community
The “Old Timers” said their aim was to show the youth, and the community at large, that it was possible to resuscitate the dilapidated pool and restore it to its former condition.
A quotation that was completed by the Ward CAT Leader, Mr Moses Dube, states that in excess of $36 000 is needed to re-establish the recreation centre.
"This is one of the three swimming pools in the high density areas of Bulawayo; one is in Luveve, another in Babourfields and this one here in Mpopoma. In 2010 we did a quotation and we were told that to revive this pool we will need $36 000.
"The group of old people, which calls itself the Mpopoma / Matshobana Old Timers Association is very keen to keep the pool clean despite its present state. Do you looking for movers?
