ZDDT, Compupro come to the assistance of one of Bulawayo's leading community member

Mr Mlauzi (78) from Ward 29 (Magwegwe North; Cllr M Lubimbi), expressed gratitude to the Trust for keeping the less privileged in the heart of its operations.

He repairs old models of radios and those of other electrical gadgets for a living but he cannot make enough money to meet his bills and other necessities, as his eyes are beginning to fail him.

“I would like to thank you (ZDDT) so much for donating this money to me and my family at such a time when it is most needed. You might not think of it as much but it means a lot to my family and I pray that God may assist you in getting more funding because you are healing the communities with the little that you are currently getting,” said Mr Mlauzi.

Mr Mlauzi assists his ward by being the caretaker of its tool kit, which was donated by ZDDT. The tool kit, which includes a wheelbarrow, picks, shovels, spades and litter spikes, is used by the CAT under the supervision of the Councillor, in clean-up exercises, storm drain digging and any other projects in the community.

Compupro, the business donor in this instance, is one of Bulawayo’s leading IT companies specialising in the sale of computers, accessories, spares and repairs.

It partnered with ZDDT in the BSCS and has been consistent in its monthly donations to the community of Bulawayo.

ZDDT appeals to the business community to assist the under privileged in society and then tasks Councillors with identifying and vetting possible beneficiaries.
