ZDDT visited Ward 15 to hand over donations to two vulnerable members of that community that had been identified by their councillor, Mrs Ncube.

Recipient Gogo Miti, an elderly woman, had a tumour covering her eye, which made it difficult for her to carry out everyday tasks and access adequate healthcare.

On the other hand, Mrs Banda was incarcerated in the local prison and relied on her niece for support, who was struggling to provide her with basic necessities such as warm clothing for the winter season.

Through the Business Social Credit Scheme, the councillor handed over a donation of $50 each to Gogo Miti and Mrs Banda to help them with their respective challenges.

When Gogo Miti received her donation, she was overjoyed and expressed her gratitude, saying that "it would go a long way in helping her with her medical needs and daily necessities. She was particularly thankful for the kindness shown to her by the donors."

Mrs Banda, who was unable to receive the donation in person due to her incarceration, was also grateful for the assistance provided to her through her niece.

The donation helped her to purchase warm clothing for the winter season, which made her life in prison a little more comfortable.

The local councillor, who was aware of the difficult circumstances faced by these two women, expressed his gratitude to ZDDT for their kind gesture.

He recognized the impact that the donation would have on the lives of these women and their families.

The donation made by ZDDT Business Social Credit Scheme not only helped these women with their immediate needs but also brought hope and happiness to their lives.

It served as a reminder of the kindness and generosity that can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.
