Fresh Talent Takes the Stage as GRAA Launches 2026 Level 1 Training

A new wave of youthful talent has officially entered the GRAA training pipeline, signalling another promising year for the growth of emerging performers.

With excitement high and expectations set, the programme has opened its doors to a fresh intake, laying the groundwork for skills development, creativity, and professional discipline in the performing arts.

The GRAA Level 1 training for the first intake of 2026 officially began this week, marking an exciting new chapter for 20 enthusiastic young trainees, both young men and women aged between 18 and 25. The energetic cohort was warmly welcomed into the programme, bringing fresh creativity, passion, and determination as they embark on their artistic journey.

The start of training was characterised by lively introductions, eager participation, and a strong sense of purpose, setting a confident tone for the busy months ahead.

ZDDT trainers Mazwendoda and Malcom will be leading the programme, guiding the trainees through intensive and carefully structured sessions designed to build strong foundational skills. ZDDT staff members formally welcomed the group, encouraging them to fully embrace the opportunity, work collaboratively, and remain committed throughout the training.

With experienced mentorship and a supportive learning environment, the new intake is well- positioned to grow, excel, and confidently develop their talents within the performing arts sector thereby creating career and employment opportunities.
