MAKOKOBA - Newly elected councillor for Bulawayo’s Ward 7, Shadreck Sibanda, has hailed the Zimbabwe Development Democracy Trust (ZDDT)’s Business Social Credit Scheme (BSCS), as a step in the right direction towards assisting needy members of the community.
Under the special scheme, funded by Sally Foundation of Australia and Freight Consultants, a local firm, ZDDT reaches out to two needy families every month and donates $50 to each recipient.
Speaking immediately after a handover of $100 to two families in Makokoba, Sibanda commended ZDDT’s gesture.
“I am very thankful considering the state of the nation,” Sibanda told ZDDT News.
“Makokoba is one of the oldest and first townships in Bulawayo. Thank you for helping the elderly people. I would like to appreciate ZDDT for that. May God bless you for what you have done to the community.”
