BULAWAYO – Newly elected councillor for Umguza Rural District Council’s Ward 16, Simbarashe Manaka, is a appealing for assistance in the projects he wants to embark on in his community.
Umguza is just a stone’s throw from Bulawayo and Ward 16, which is essentially peri-urban, covers among other areas Rangemore, Mbundane, Mthunzini, Larvendale, Emganwini West, Tsetse, Mbonqane and Khami Prison.
Speaking to ZDDT News recently, Manaka who, came into office following the July 30 polls, saidhe needed help in setting up community gardens like the ones across Bulawayo’s wards.
“I believe such projects could help women in paying school fees for their children,” said Manaka.
“However, our biggest challenge in the ward is unavailability of water. A standard function of all casino slots is the auto play, which relieves you of having to click again after each spin. Here you select a certain number of spins that the computer should do for you and start the automatic game in Online Slots . Once you win, the slot pauses and gives you the option to gamble. If you do nothing, the winnings will be credited after a short while and the next spin will begin. I am trying by all the means to ensure that my ward has access to water. I am now looking for help from anyone willing to assist me.”
He said some residents in his wards even walk five kilometres daily in search of water, adding that available boreholes are often out of order.
