Last week, Geraldine Roche Drama (GRD) Programme Coordinator, Khaliphile Sibanda, hosted a training session for the 2021 GRD competitions judges.

Khaliphile said, the reason for the workshop was to brief them on the procedures of the competition, since some of them would be judging GRD competitions for the first time.

Speaking to Zimbabwe Development Democracy Trust (ZDDT) News, one of the judges, Mrs Felistas Mlibazi said she felt honoured to be part of the judges.

“One thing that really stands out for me is the diversity in the theatre arts industry and how areas are marginalised. From these competitions, I expect the groups to show their creativity in as far as displaying the given theme using the prescribed techniques. I am looking forward to these competitions because it is my first time judging at GRD and, at the same time, it’s a challenge that I would like to believe I will be a match for,” she said.

Geraldine Roche Drama and Sally Foundation prioritise providing education through the creative arts in Zimbabwe in an endeavor to generate skills and employment for youth and spread social messages.
