The Geraldine Roche Drama Programme has done it again! Seven of their young drama students have been selected to perform at the 13th annual South African Talent Showcase in Johannesburg this coming October.

The SA Talent Showcase provides a platform for South African industry professionals to discover up-and-coming performing artists who could be the next big stars.

Performers selected from the showcase often go on to roles in major regional and international productions.

This is a tremendous accomplishment for the GRD program as it has provided mentorship, training and performance opportunities for these aspiring artists and others through theatre workshops, film projects and more.

The selected students, ranging in age from 18 to 25, expressed excitement and gratitude for the GRD programme that helped hone their skills and boost their confidence to perform at this prestigious event.

One 20 year-old student said, "GRD opened so many doors for me and helped me believe I could actually make a career in the performing arts."

The GRD Program Director, Khally, said the selection of these seven students "validates the important work we are doing to nurture and increase the visibility of Bulawayo's youth arts industry."

She praised the hard work and dedication of the students, saying, "We are so proud of them and can't wait to cheer them on in Johannesburg!"
