ZDDT Market Gardens Forge Promising Partnership with Local Manufacturer

The Bulawayo-based ZDDT group of market gardens is thrilled about a significant opportunity that has the potential to generate substantial income for our communities.

They have been awarded an opportunity to supply a local manufacturer with one tonne of beetroot per month for pickling, marking a milestone in the mission to expand the horticulture gardens into commercial enterprises.

This week alone, two of the five market gardens, Green Gardens and Mandlakhe, have successfully supplied 200kg of fresh beetroot, and we are excited about what this partnership means for our beneficiaries.

By design, most individuals involved in the market gardens come from disadvantaged backgrounds, and this collaboration serves as a beacon of hope, offering not just financial gain but also valuable skills and experience in commercial production and associated marketing.
