ZDDT continues to forge relationships with Zimbabwean media houses
The two reporters exchanged information of mutual interest. They also looked into the possibility of cooperating, through sharing articles content.
Mr Sibanda was asked his opinion on the effectiveness of ZDDT’sinterventions in local communities and the promotion of these initiatives from a media related perspective. He remarked; “I use public transport to commute and, on occasion, observe passengers expressing interest while passing sites where the Trust and Municipal Workers or residents had been implementing programmes.
Surprisingly, a number of people could identify, not only the organisations involved, but also the programmes being implemented.” He added that several reporters in his newsroom, himself included, were familiar with ZDDT’s website.
Sentiments such as these are a clear indication that the Trust’s Media Cooperation Programme is having a positive impact in local neighbourhoods. This is funded by a development partner which is closely linked to the Trust.
