Bulawayo Councillor Exalts Leadership Training and Support

Presenting a Vote of Thanks at a Zone 4 Meeting recently, Cllr E Rafamoyo also commended the Trust for supporting the Local Authority and the Councillors in their tenure of office, which is expiring later this month when elections are likely to be held.

“I would like to take this moment to thank ZDDT for all the support that is has rendered to me, and all the other Councillors, throughout the 5 years that we have been Councillors. I am confident that it will continue supporting the Local Authority (LA) and the Councillors that will be elected into office in the coming elections.

“I would also like to commend ZDDT for training us in leadership skills, as these workshops really helped us evolve into the capable leaders we are today,” he said.

ZDDT enjoys a Memorandum of Understanding with Bulawayo City Council, an arrangement in which the Trust and the administration work together for the betterment of the city. The Trust has mandated itself to improve the operational efficiency of the LA through its Local Authority Capacity Building Programme.

This programme entails the training of the City Fathers and Council staff members in leadership and management skills in their respective responsibilities, to enhance service delivery and deliver the ratepayers value for money.

To illustrate the positive impact of this programme, Councillors continue to state, on record, that ZDDT is the leading training organisation in the city.
