Bulawayo Businesses Compupro and Freight Consultants Give New Donations

BSCS is a community challenge to businesses to give back to the community in which they derive their living.

W24 local leader, Cllr Mangena, thanked the Trust and its partners, saying this scheme has helped a lot of needy people in the city and that it is a ray of hope for those who have benefitted.

“I would like to thank ZDDT and the other companies - Freight Consultants and Compupro - that are involved in this programme. We have a lot of people, especially the elderly and orphans that are in need of this help and, as far as I know, ZDDT has been extending its hand to these people, in all the wards in the city,” he said.

The beneficiaries also echoed the Councillor’s sentiments, saying that the donations could not have come at a better time.

“I am very grateful for this donation. I can never thank you enough because I was stranded and there you came, like an angel sent by God. I live by myself and there is no one to take care of me, as all my children passed away. I literally live by begging because I do not have a job. From here, I am going straight to the shops to buy mealie meal and other things for the house,” said 76 year-old Daisy Ndlovu.

The other 2 family heads that benefited are Mr and Mrs Ngomambi Mguni – 67 years and 60 years old respectively - who will use the money to buy food for themselves and their grandchildren and Mina Sibanda (89) who will also use the donated funds to buy food for her family.
