EGODINI - MaNcube, an elderly woman from Makokoba, who was part of the audience that watched a recent Amazing Stars Arts Academy (ASAA) show, said she was not only entertained, but also enlightened on issues pertaining to leadership and democracy

“I have learnt that councillors should not abuse their positions, especially as we go towards elections,” said MaNcube.

“Councillors should not hold back food handouts and should not discriminate against people in the distribution of food.”

In partnership with the Zimbabwe Development Democracy Trust (ZDDT) and Geraldine Roche of Australia, ASAA stages shows on citizen mobilisation and democratic values in an on-going programme that crisscrosses Bulawayo delivering these messages to the heart of communities.
