BULAWAYO-based Geraldine Roche Drama (GRD) will soon premiere their highly anticipated film titled "Consequences", on social media platforms.

Film director, Khally Sibanda, said the film depicts how young people end up partaking in criminal activities as a way of escaping the ravages of poverty.

"Surrounded by bad thoughts, stewing in his mind because of poverty and his complicated life, Mzingaye got trapped in a life of crime as a way of escape from his home situation. Now he has to
face the consequences of the life he has chosen," narrated Sibanda.

"These short films are a collection from our film festival. We will stream them on all our pages, like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube."

She said the films are written by group directors from the competition.

The date for premiering the films is yet to be advised.

GRD and the Sally Foundation in Zimbabwe place high importance on providing creative arts opportunities for young people to learn skills and find jobs, and this necessitates the provision of adequate equipment and training with start-up support from ZDDT.
