A meeting house shed for Sizinda community garden in ward 21 has been completed with the market garden also receiving donations of seeds for the whole garden of 120 members from the department of Agricultural, Technical and Extension Services (Agritex).

"So far we have roofed our meeting shed, thanks to the Sally Foundation for giving us a hand of $225 which helped us to finish our roofing. It is a very good structure,” Doreen Ngara, secretary for Sizinda community garden explained.

"We still have the process of putting benches and we hope to do it in September and after that we will put tiles.

"We also received donations of seeds, and the seeds had 20 grams x5 in a pack for each gardener. We also received a knapsack and chemicals called ‘Delegent’ which are 250grams x2 packs,” she added.

This ZDDT market garden project is a partnership involving Sally Foundation, GDG and DAP of Australia and the community members themselves.
