With the festive season behind them, beneficiaries of the community gardens project are back in full swing, tending to their plots with renewed vigour.
Following the Christmas holiday, the gardens have once again become a hub of activity, with members eagerly sprucing up their spaces and preparing for a bountiful growing season.
The recent steady rainfall has provided much-needed moisture, and the weather forecast is highly promising for continued favourable conditions.
This bodes well for the project beneficiaries, who are optimistic about a successful growing season.
The community gardens project has not only provided residents with access to fresh nutritious food, but has also fostered a sense of pride and a shared passion for sustainable living.
A number of exciting workshops and trainings have been lined up to, further enhance township livelihoods.
