Orphaned children receive timely donation

BULAWAYO – Director of Progressive Pre-school for Orphaned Children, Mrs. Mpumelelo Fuzwane, surrounded by her young charges, was recently presented with a donation of baby wear, toiletries and
learning tools given by an Australian well-wisher.

Representatives from Team ZDDT, Bruce Mtengwa, Bulawayo Provincial Officer and the Trust’s Field Correspondent drove 12 kilometres across the City to make the presentation at the pre-school, located
in the deprived neighbourhood of Emakhandeni, Township, Ward 11.

Receiving the donation, the visibly over-whelmed Director, expressed profound gratitude to the person responsible for such generosity. She promised to pray for the benefactor, adding that kind acts of this
nature restored her faith in fellow humans.

Progressive Pre-school for Orphaned Children is a day-care and learning centre for children orphaned by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. It also enrolls the off-spring of parents too ill to care for their children.

Pupils from toddlers to the age of five are accepted by the struggling institution.
