Bulawayo's Nutritional Gardens Prosper
This was established when the ZDDT Team embarked on a tour of a number of nutritional gardens during its monitoring exercise.
The Glenkara Garden, in Ward 25, stood out the most and was labelled by some as “The Garden of Eden”. It was tilled and replanted during the first quarter of this year and reveals neat rows of healthy, vigorous plants.

Another garden that did well, is in Ward 15 (Cllr Israel Mabaleka). This garden is one of the five which were issued, by ZDDT, with Drip Irrigation Kits at the beginning of this year. Ward 15 also received a one-day course and demonstration on how to use the irrigation equipment from Ricky Forster of Forster Irrigation.
Forster Irrigation is a partner to the Trust and has, in the past, donated irrigation kits to the community of Bulawayo through ZDDT and the City Council.
