Bulawayo Council Watch: More roads resurfaced
This more than welcome revelation, came at the recently held September 2012, City of Bulawayo Full Council Meeting. This pertinent issue, and others, including the partnering of the Local Authority with residents in conducting self-help programmes, took centre stage.

Bulawayo City Council has committed itself to resuscitating the city’s outdated and often parlous road network by resurfacing at least 6km of tarred terrain in all the 29 Wards.
24 Councillors attended the chamber meeting and 90 percent of the attendees actively participated. Deputy Mayor, Cllr Amen Mpofu, chaired.
The Trust attends these Chamber meetings on a monthly basis, and uses them as a measure to gauge the impact of its interventions in enhancing the performance of Local Government through its Local Authority Capacity Building Programme.
