Ward 9 (Mpopoma) Community Action Team (CAT), recently gathered at Inyathi Youth Centre to inaugurate another clean-up exercise around their neighbourhood.
When ZDDT News arrived at the Centre, at around 0713 hours, the CAT, led by Moses Dube, was already in full swing slashing grass and combing an open area for litter before taking their exercise to the streets of their ward.
Moses Dube, who is a CAT Mpopoma founder member, told ZDDT News that his teammates are going to be busy. “We are a self-motivated team after having attended ZDDT’s Sebenzela-Shandira forums on owning our place. We will continue working for our ward as it belongs to us,” he said before getting down to business of leading his team in the grass cutting.
ZDDT promotes the principles of ownership, self-help and responsibility in its programmes.
