The Geraldine Roche and ZDDT partnered drama sessions planned for 2015 kicked off on a high note after the facilitators Amazing Arts group leader Forgiven Ndlovu challenged orphans to ‘turn around the world’.
Ndlovu who has been with Amazing Arts since its inception, announced the new theme amid pomp and fanfare.
Orphans, Councillor Lot Siziba, Ms Tshabalala, and the Vulindhlela Orphanage Centre Matron graced the launch.

“We are not going to accept a situation where orphans sit and relax because they are vulnerable. We will not accept a situation where orphans will wait for the elite to do everything for them, and end up aged orphans without something to their names. Stand up today all of you boys and girls, and be counted in the world! Do something for your life, and the community will assist you after seeing your courage rather than waiting for spoon feeding,” said Ndlovu amid whistles and ululation from the audience.
Amazing Stars then performed a drama on sexual abuse and its possible prevention. The message was to inform the orphans that their lives were also in their hands, and to look after, and celebrate their successes. Trade forex now. Best forex copy trading in South Africa platforms. He urged orphans to change the world by taking education seriously, and in turn tell the world how Geraldine Roche and ZDDT took them from vulnerability via edutainment through drama.
His sentiments were echoed by those of Councillor Siziba who left the orphans in stitches after his narration.
“I am also an orphan who abstained from sexual activities, and focused on my education which was then provided in a bottle neck system. I am now a Councillor and your community leader through hard work and self confidence, and advice received from well-wishers” he said amid laughter from the audience.
ZDDT continues to work at grass-root level through drama to raise community awareness for positive development.
