BULAWAYO – Ward One residents, led by their Councillor, Mr. Edward Manning, today planted thirty of the allotted hundred trees in Hume Park situated on the North Eastern outskirts of the city centre. The exercise is on-going and is expected to be completed in the coming week.

BULAWAYO – Voluntary Provincial Development Officers from the Trust’s regions, beat a trail to the nation’s second city, in order to participate in this year’s second quarterly PDO training event, held recently at the ZDDT office, Suburbs. (That, strangely, is actually the name of this particular suburb!)

MAKWE, GWANDA RURAL. – Forty four from a total of four hundred and sixty eight communal farmers at the Makwe Irrigation Scheme recently benefited from a donation of 900 kilograms of wheat seed presented to them by ZDDT.

BULAWAYO – Quite by chance, the positive effect of training initiatives by ZDDT among local communities was demonstrated during a recent visit to the Inyathi Youth Centre, in the nation’s second city. Representatives of the Trust went to the Centre, located in Ward 9, Mpopoma Township, in order to gather material meant to highlight the facility’s plight. Cllr. Elmon Mpofu oversees the area.
