In quest of excellence
BULAWAYO – In the quest to add value to staff proficiency, ZDDT has crafted a policy which ensures continued upgrading in the capacities of those it engages in its work.
This is achieved through providing training to staff members in various disciplines that the Trust deems would prove beneficial. Training is either in-house or out-sourced.
The policy was most aptly demonstrated recently, when Regional Coordinator and Field correspondent at ZDDT, Lewis Jones, travelled to the Capital in order to attend a three day Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) workshop, funded and facilitated by a high profile development partner.
The training’s objective was provision of tools necessary for participants’ conversance and effective application of appropriate M&E systems. This would further arm them with the means to produce simple yet competently structured project proposals.
Several of the Country’s reputable non-governmental organisations were represented at the workshop where a reasonably balanced gender make-up was in evidence.
The robust training course that had a full attendance record on each day, ended on a high note with participants and indeed the facilitators expressing their satisfaction at the success of the whole exercise.
