In a bid to further enhance information dissemination and community engagement, the Zimbabwe Development Democracy Trust (ZDDT) has recently procured notice boards for each garden under its care, thanks to the support from the Sally Foundation.

This initiative comes at a crucial time as the gardens are fully engaged in election mode, where information plays a vital role in ensuring that everyone is involved and informed.

The provision of notice boards in each garden signifies ZDDT’s commitment to fostering transparency, communication, and participation within the community.

By having a centralised platform for sharing updates, advice on garden techniques, and important announcements, community members can stay informed and actively participate in the activities related to their gardens.

Edward Chikwayi, the Assistant Agricultural Extension Officer at ZDDT, highlighted the significance of these notice boards in facilitating effective communication within the community.

He emphasised that during the election period, access to accurate information is crucial to ensure that all stakeholders are well-informed and engaged in the decision-making processes related to their gardens.

Chikwayi also pointed out that apart from serving as a means of disseminating election-related information, these notice boards will continue to be valuable resources for providing regular updates, sharing best practices in gardening techniques, and offering advice on how to improve agricultural productivity within the community.
