In a continued display of growth and opportunity, the third intake of ZDDT's Horticultural School initiative has commenced, welcoming a class of six aspiring green-thumbed individuals.

This year's cohort comprises three trainees from Isiah's Children's Home and three from Children of Grace, both institutions that cater for orphans, all of whom are responsible for the garden-related work within their respective institutions.

The Horticultural School's mission is to enhance the skills and knowledge of these dedicated caretakers, empowering them to elevate the agricultural endeavours at their institutions.

As part of their first lesson, the students pruned the fruit tree orchard and began the work of setting up an irrigation plot at Isiah's Children's Home, a testament to their eagerness to put their newfound expertise into practice.

The trainees, brimming with enthusiasm, are eager to apply their learnings to create lush, thriving gardens that will not only beautify their institutions but also provide sustainable sources of fresh produce for the children in their care.
