Michael, a former deaf student of King George Sixth School of the Disabled (KGVI) in Bulawayo, has defied the odds and found success as the horticultural manager of the school's agriculture gardens.

The Worringham-based Inthuthuko (progress) Garden, located on the eastern fringes of peri-urban Bulawayo, recently sent its newly elected committee on a fact-finding mission to various ZDDT-supported market gardens situated throughout the townships with the the intention of expanding and improving their own operations.
The local Anglican church has been a staunch supporter of Greenfield Garden, a community market garden complex located in amongst residential housing in Emganwini in Bulawayo’s west.
The Sir Humphrey Gibbs School, which caters for students with Down Syndrome and other disabilities, has received a much-needed boost thanks to ZDDT's high-impact intervention programme.
Following the successful election of the management committee at the Hlanganani Community Market Garden, another significant milestone has been achieved in the garden's journey towards effective governance.
